I am nominating the WACO Rotaract for their efforts in Panhandling for Polio. This group of 18-30 year olds managed to raise $1,200 (and counting) in one morning to help eradicate Polio from the world. Through Twitter, Facebook and an online donation site, they are helping educate Americans about Polio, and helping the Rotary Foundation to eradicate it from the world forever.
The community has been very inspired by this group of young people. In addition to Panhandling for Polio, they are constantly working to raise awareness of local issues, raise money to help local organizations, mentor children, help the elderly, and better themselves personally and professionally.
