The JLP community project, Between the Lines, uses digital video recorders to record incarcerated parents and deploying soldiers reading to their children. We then convert those recordings onto CDs and send the CD, a new copy of the book that was read and a note card from the parent to each child.

Epic Thanks is a global celebration that seeks to change the world through the power of gratitude. Founded in 2008, the original TweetsGiving celebration was imagined and implemented by six volunteers in six days, and quickly became the #1 trending topic on Twitter as thousands of grateful tweets from across the globe filled the stream.
Beginning in 2009 PDXTech4Good began participating in Tweetsgiving with our own local twist. Tweetsgiving is an national even that happens each year that takes advantage of Twitter and live events to generate funds for a specific organization. You can learn more about this event by visiting the Tweetsgiving website
We add our own local twist to this event by also looking to recognize groups in our community that we are thankful for how they are using technology to make change.
We're asking you to nominate your organization or one that impresses you to show your gratitude for all that they do especially through their innovative use of technology.
